Cask and Ale in Sarasota

Awesome ambiance and fantastic food. Stopped in before a wedding and we were not disappointed.

This place is nothing more than a nice bar for a brew. Dont eat here. We made the mistake of eating dinner and wont be back. Table service awful. We are 50 years old.

I love this place. Actually I beyond love this place. The most attentive amazing bartenders and such a wide variety of cocktails! The staff make this ppace though! Especially the female bartender with the light blueish sleeve tattoo! Such a funny and wonderful bartender! Well worth going there any day of the week!

Terrible service. It was my friends birthday and we had a small gathering of friends. They acted like they couldn't care less. Only gave two stars because the decor is nice and DJ was good.

Is been the third time I visit this place, and bar manager is nothing but rude. I technically come here because of the bar back and just find out he is leaving. Owner please take a consideration who you hire because he is literally taking this business down.

Awful service! We sat at the bar. My wife ordered wine and me a water(driving). She finished her wine at 530. We waited over 30 minutes for another drink and after the two bartenders walked by several times neither noticed that both our drinks were empty and at the edge of the bar. We waited patiently for 30 whole minutes, meanwhile only two other people sat at the bar. Bartenders need to be trained to look for empty drinks and not be worried to interact with customers. My wife would have normally downed three drinks in that time. This place won’t make it!

I was drawn to Cask & Ale by the music playing by a indie neo-soul group called lemon royale (awesome btw). I had the Margarita flat bread 🤐 & awesome drinks. Nice atmosphere...servers needed to service those NOT sitting at the bar.

Great atmosphere, big selection of bourbon and scotch. 12 taps with craft beers (local but nothing special) such as Darwin Big Deal, Crooked thumb Shade Tree IPA, Jdubs crooked coral, motorworks grapefruit IPA, Big top descklins indulgence, copper tail unholy, islamarada sand bar sunday, tbb mcbrews, 3 daughters coffee blonde, pair o dice Clearwater honey creme, 21st amendment/CCB golden sunshine, tomoka 9-5 brown porter. 6 craft cocktail currently. Lots of bitters, but nothing seems to be made in house unfortunately. 2 large TVs. Service was great. The chickpea fries were decent but pricey ($1 per fry!). They didn't have a beer menu which I hope they fix soon because having bartenders repeat 12 beers over and over is very annoying for customers and staff (I like all beers so I don't want to be asked 'what beer do you want to drink' I would much rather know the selection so I can check the beer ratings). Having said that it is worth checking this place out if you're nearby.

Great staff, great food, great atmosphere.

Pleasant surprise...great vibe and live music throw you off for the eclectic menu. Been twice now and seems like a good team in the kitchen. Duck most recently and it was cooked to perfection. Complimentary flavors and not overdone.

Went for live music on a Friday night. Happy is decent, snacks are tasty but service is less than desirable. Watched a couple of tables walk out after not being greeted at all. Lucky for us the sever only forgot a round of drinks once!

Craft Cocktails with an extensive variety of spirits. Great nightlife on weekends. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Definitely my go-to bar. And don't get me started on their beautiful food menu.

Great place for music and the chicken sandwich was great, but they need more bartenders and table service, especially on a Friday and Saturday night.

Pass this one by unless you want to stop briefly for a drink at their bar. There's many better choices in downtown Sarasota to go, plus this caters to a very young crowd

Very good cocktails and surprisingly good food. The smooth heat chicken sandwich was excellent. Bar staff are always very friendly.

Interesting drink menu, that gets changed up every so often. Nice spot to sit outside and people watch. Usually good service sitting at the bar, not as good when sitting outside.

Amazing bartenders, drinks, and food. My favorite place in town.

The atmosphere was good but the food prices are really high for the amount of food you get. The bison bites are 4 pieces of bison about the size of a quarter on a flat smear of mashed potatoes with a vinegarette dressing dribbled around it. $28.00. Tasted great but it's a appetizer size for an entree price. They call that the "large plate". They had a yummy Carmel desert that is a must have. This is in downtown Sarasota not St Pete.

6/20/ 2019, @ 8:00 Bartenders can be a little more informative about the drinks and friendly. Seriously, it felt like they didn't want to be there, poor customer service, no personality, feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome.

The worst table service and a tiny menu of marginally good food. This is a place you go if you're in your twenties and want to sit at the bar and have a good Brew. Nothing more

I thought I was in Canada with metered alcohol pours. My Chopin on the rocks was a full glass of ice & a measured shot of vodka, all for $10.50. After 3 sips, I ordered a second drink, thinking the first was a mistake. Nope, another full glass of ice & a shot of vodka. There are plenty of other establishments in the area that know how to pour a vodka on the rocks for the same price. Maybe I'll return for a beer, which is difficult to screw up, but not for much else. Hyde Park, Selva, Boca & Patrick's pour a better drink.

Fantastic food and even better if thats possible the best craft cocktails, presentation of the cocktails so beautiful, best bartenders in Sarasota. Brunch amazing on weekends, and happy hour with live music.A destination stop located on Main Street!!!

(Sat there for 10 min with no service, went to the bar and still nobody acknowledged me for service...) When did this place turn into a hipster haven?? Sad!

Service was mediocre at best. 4 bartenders behind the bar with several empty seats & still could barely get acknowledged. Food was OK

Cask & Ale is an awesome little retreat and alternative to the hustling and bustling crowds at bigger bars and clubs. This speak easy has great craft drinks mixed by amazing, fun, and welcoming bartenders (especially Katie & Megan).

This was a great bar downtown with a great vibe. The atmosphere was awesome, music was good, the drinks were delicious and the staff were attentive! Highly recommended dropping by!
